Required Work Experience or Educational Equivalent

Two years of equivalent work
Experience in a social service or a related health care field includes, but is not limited to, case management, senior activities programming, long-term services and supports, health and wellness programming, adult or child daycare programming, service acquisition, non-profit programming, or administration. Experience must be through paid employment with a minimum of 20 hours/week or 1040 hours/year. AASC will determine whether the experience is eligible.
Proof of minimum experience must include the date of hire and can be from a combination of work settings. Examples include a pay stub (must include the date of hire), a letter from the employer (must confirm a minimum of two years of experience), a training certificate from the employer, tax return, or other proof of paid employment (with start date) for all jobs being considered. All personal information, such as social security number, birth date, etc., must be removed before submission. This material should be uploaded on your account home page on this site.
Qualifying Education
Proof of education in a health or other service-related field may include a copy of a diploma that clearly states both the type of degree conferred (e.g., Bachelor of Arts in the Health Sciences) or a copy of a transcript that indicates that the degree was awarded. The transcript does not need to be sent directly from the school.
